18 Til I Die (1996)
Released internationally on June 4th '96 this was a long awaited BA album that saw BA take on a whole new colourful look and an album packed with edgy rockers and sweeping ballads. It was the first albums worth of new material after 5 years touring around the world. The album went straight to #1 in the UK and that followed suit around the world.

It was recorded from the Autumn of 1994 onwards in Jamaica in BA's mobile studio...then in Spring '96 BA went to the village of Ramatuelle in Southern France. He was in search of inspiration because he thought there was something missing from the album. There he wrote 2 wrote and recorded the final 2 songs...'The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You' and '18 Til I Die'. '18 Til I Die' gave the album a figurehead so BA felt happy to release it. Bryan enjoyed making this album a lot more than the last one as it came together more easily. 'Let's Make A Night To Remember' was even first conceived at an Australian gig soundcheck on the 'So Far So Good' tour 2 years previously. It's clear to see Bryan was more relaxed with all the fun songs and tongue in check references, a nice change to see on an Adams album.

Release wise the album was released with the standard 13 track playlist in most countries apart from Japan where 'Hey Elvis' was added on the end. In line with the single release of 'I Finally Found Someone' the album was re-issused worldwide with the song on but with a new purple sleeve. 'You're Still Beautiful To Me' was the sacrified song BA dropped from the album to accomodate the new Barbara Streisand duet. Rumours were it was dropped because the album would have contained too many ballads percentage wise compared to rockers. BA jammed 'We're Gonna Win' to the end of the disc after a full minutes silence 'to wake you back up if you fell asleep' he canningly admitted in an interview! For the re-release the Japanese version kept 'Hey Elvis' on the end as per the first international release there.
