Inheriting their father's musical legacy, Gary Breit and his brothers Kevin and Garth, grew up playing music together. Taking them far from their small town roots in northern Ontario, the Breit Brothers ended up in Toronto becoming a major force on the Canadian scene.

As a highly respected keyboard player Gary has recorded with such acts as Amanda Marshall, Cassandra Wilson, Jimi B, Corey Hart, Amy Sky, Long John Baldry, Lucid Dreaming, Damhnait Doyle, Honeymoon Suite, Sass Jordan toured with Kim Mitchell and now Bryan.

A master of the Hammond B3, Piano and various synthesizers, his instrumental and vocal abilities keep him in demand for both tours and album sessions.

As a relative new member to Bryan's band (he joined in 2002) I once quizzed him of what he knew and thought about Bryan's material. He told me he had been a fan as long as he could remember and had always loved Bryan's music. I also asked him if he knew any of the older material so that he and Norm (the new bassist) could play it live with Bryan. He said that the band didn't practice old numbers specifically but at the start of a tour they would sometimes jam and practice new and old songs to get warmed up. This interested me as in Bolzano '04, keyboard player Gary and bassist Norm knew all the keyboard notes and bass lines off by heart when we asked Bryan to play 2 old songs on the spur of the moment. 'Take Me Back' and 'Remember', despite having never been performed before with Gary or Norm never sounded so good. A great addition to the band, Gary has made to keyboard his own and is a lovely bloke if you ever get to meet him.
