30/10/91 - ICE RINK, WHITLEY BAY
Summary by Bryan King:
The fourth of a tour that will last for a year and a half. Whitley
Bay is a relatively small city compared to most places Bryan plays,
but it is obvious that the people at the show are thrilled that
the Waking Up the World Tour is making a stop in their community.
At one point during Somebody, he stops the song mid-way to stop
a fight in the crowd and kick the fighters out of the show. He starts
the song over again, much to the delight of the audience. Although
Bryan played When the Night Comes earlier in the summertime shows,
this time he plays it by himself without the band as it remains
for the rest of the tour. Summer of 69 is extended from what it
was in earlier tours, but does not include the bridge that Bryan
now sings by himself and has an ending that is more impromptu than
rehearsed.
