17/06/96 - PARKEN STADIUM, COPENHAGEN

My first BA gig! I can't really remember much, cos I was barely
12. It all started one day, when my dad said "We're going to
Copenhagen, and see what rock 'n roll's really about"! I remember
it being a cool night, with lots of people everywhere... It was
a total sell-out w/ around 60,000 people and a great atmosphere...
Highlights were the opener "The Only Thing" w/ BA on wah
guitar, which sounded sooo great live, in those 18til I die days,
when Adams played wah (and lead on more songs too!) during the song.
Too bad he dosen't play wah on that anymore, cos it sounds awesome..
just take a look at some of the 1996-1997 TV-appearences. The b-stage
I could'nt see much of, but it sounded great and was such a surprise!
I read a danish news-article saying that The Rolling Stones and
other big rock bands; took up the b-stage after BA "invented"
the concept in the early 1990's.
The best thing, is that stadium gigs just sound
so emotionally rocking... I mean it's the perfect place for a real
summer-rocking gig! I hope BA's going to summer-tour, if the next
album (if it's not coming later) is a chart-topper, cos I know he
can fill our national stadium again and he haven't played it since
1996. I think it was the same set as the Karlsruhe 96 concert, that's
out there as a radio boot.
