16/07/99 - STADIUM ZALGIRIS, VILNIUS

I have been to many non-Bryan Adams concerts but his concert was the best ever!I became a fan of Bryan after this gig and for that I have to be thankful to my friend cuz she asked me if I wanted to go there and when I said I didn’t want it that much she persuaded me.

So,it was a sunny evening of July 16,1999.We went to our local Þalgirio stadionas where the concert was going to be held and which is not far from our house.

The gig started at 19PM and the warming singer was Andrius Mamontovas(who even lives at the same district as me!:)I must say I don’t really like him although he is very popular in Lithuania.So I didn’t like his performance.I only wished he would finish his singing as soon as possible.

Then,at about 20PM or 21PM(I don’t really remember now…)Bryan came on stage.Well,I didn’t expect anything exceptional from him cuz I wasn’t a fan yet and I had heard maybe only 3 or 4 songs of him.I must say I was a bit sceptical about him…

But when I heard the first chords of How Do You Feel Tonight I was hooked!!!

I don’t have the setlist for this concert cuz I didn’t recognize most of the songs but soon after the gig I knew all of them!:)

All I can say is that I was in HEAVEN during the gig!:)The songs were soooooooo great,so wonderful,so amazing!I loved all of them!Absolutely all!This had never happened to me before!

And Bryan looked into my eyes for a few times!This was such an incredible feeling!!!I will never forget it!

Well,what else can I say?..There was about 16,000 of people at the concert but Bryan isnt very popular in Lithuania…

The gig was over at about 11PM and we had to go home. From that time on I was a fan.I bought OADLT the next day and after some time I got all his albums.Then I started collecting bootlegs,rare songs CDs,videos,cuttings,etc.and still I do.

Unfortunately,I don’t have any pix from that gig(and that’s a pity cuz it was the first(and maybe the last??)Bryan’s concert in Lithuania.We werent allowed to take photos…:(

Also,I have been looking for a bootleg of this concert for a very long time but I must admit I had no luck in finding it…:( So maybe it doesn’t exist at all…

But I will never forget a wonderful time I had at the concert!That was a really FANTASTIC gig!!!

Bryan is just so great!:)He is the best!
