11/10/99 - BIRMINGHAM NEC

Review by Val Smith:
'Is there anybody out there?'

The resounding cheer from the 12,000 or so packed into the NEC should've given Bryan the answer.

An absolutely awe-inspiring concert from the 3 Amigos with Bryan being his usual unpretentious self - inviting all the women who hadn't yet done so, to fall head over heels!

OK, so he may not be the best looking guy around but as soon as he sings, it just does not matter!!

One of the highlights of the evening was the mock auction conducted by Bryan to decide which of two aspiring young stars could duet on 'When you're gone'. The contest was won by a surprisingly talented, beautiful girl by the name of Vicki Perry, from Somerset who announced that she had driven for 3 hours just for this moment! Her original banner stating ' BRYAN, Let me be your Mel C, cos 'When you're gone', You'll have missed out on me!!!'

She deserved to sing just for that alone!

The result, an absolutely astounding duet which knocked spots off Mel C's attempt and I can assure you that this feeling was reciprocated by the 12,000 in the NEC.

What a night - when can I go again!!!!!
