13/01/00 - ST DENIS THEATRE,
MONTREAL, QUEBEC Translated by Steven Stanley: Bryan
Adams arrives in Montreal for Canadian tour of small theatres: Rocker,
Bryan Adams, who will be on stage in Montreal this evening and tomorrow in the
Saint-Denis Theatre, continues his Canadian tour until January 25, before flying
away towards Australia, where he will give eight concerts. The
same person at the side of Celine Dion, at the Molson Center, on 31 December,
made Massey Hall of Toronto vibrate on Tuesday, where he gave the first of two
concerts there in closed counters. The rocker is currently
promoting his new album, 'The Best Of Me', which gathers his greater successes.
For this tour, Adams chose to play in venues of smaller size (Massey Hall, for
example, has only a 3000 capacity), which is perhaps not the best way of attending
its musical universe. But when one looks at the
sales of his albums during the last few years, one says that perhaps the rocker
could have had the choice to play in the vast amphitheatres able to pile up tens
of thousands of fans.
For this tour with the show
rather intimate, Bryan Adams preferred to be surrounded by only two musicians,
the guitarist Keith Scott and the drummer Mickey Curry, two faithful accomplices. In
addition, Bryan Adams will benefit from his time in the city to take part in an
autograph session inthe 'Archamblaut de Ville Of Anjou' store on Saturday January
15 at 1pm. He will also reveal his book 'Made in Canada', a collection of photographs
of Canadian female personalities. The photographs of Adams will also be exhibited
in the McCord Museum of Montreal, as of January 14. Bryan Adams, in concert this
evening and tomorrow in the St-Denis Theatre. |
