13/03/00 - PERTH ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE, PERTH

Review by Darren McHugh
Now firstly I have to tell you that I wasn't a Bryan Adams fan till last Tuesday, I had bought my wife tickets as a surprise Christmas Present, as she has been a fan for years. We took our seats and totally enjoyed the opening act Marie Wilson

and her half hour or so wasn't enough for my liking, but then Bryan and the boys came on stage and I was a fan. The crowd seemed a little reluctant to sing along at first but everyone soon found their voices and it was a huge singalong. I not being a fan was amazed at how many songs I actually new, my wife sang from beginning to end.

I did find some of the hecklers in the crowd very annoying as were the people a couple of rows back chatting away during the Ballads but over all it was a great show. As seems to be the usual Bryan took a girl from the crowd to sing a duet, she was a legal secretary, who sings at church, but with the way she was dancing she must have been from" the church of love" as Bryan pointed out. At first the engineer must have kept her mic level well down but when her volume came up she did a fair job and I think my wife would have given anything to have been up there shaking her booty.

All in all I am now a converted fan!

I've never been a huge Bryan Adams fan but obviously know most of his singles.

Now though i am fully converted, the show he did at the Perth entertainment centre on March 13 totally blew me away, wow can this man 'rock', he is totally awesome on stage. I've seen all the biggest names in music over the past 23 years and the show last night surpasses the likes of Mccartney, Bowie, and Kiss.!!!!!!! From the rockier tracks of the opener (Back To You) through Summer Of ' 69, 18 Till I Die, Live Forever, Only Thing That Looks Good On Me, When You're Gone, Run To You, etc etc,
his voice was so powerful-never faultering once.to the ballads 'Have You Really, Everything I Do etc. his voice like a choir of angels. This may have been the last show in OZ but the proffessionism of putting on a great show really shone through and Bryan actually enjoyed himself up there on stage, thus the audience responded with enthusiasm for the 2 1/2 hr set which could have gone on for double that, all i can say now is that this was the greatest performance by any artist that i have ever seen upon the stage-and ive seen them all. My cd collection will be updated considerably now i have seen him live.....i cant wait for the next time Bryan Adams tours Australia, had he had another show in Perth on the 14th March i would have seen that as well whatever the cost.

Another " Night To Remember". We must have had the best seats in the house because from where we were we had a perfect view of the man himself. We had second row, centre seats. The way he played with the audience was the best. Everyone seemed to have a total ball. We sang every song he threw our way. He attempted to fool the crowd with a song from the 80's off his self titled album but of course we were on top of that. When Bryan sang Everything I Do, I am sure almost every girl in the crowd felt as if he was singing it to them. That's the way he performs. We loved the way he acknowledged the young girls with the sunflowers, you could tell by the expression on their faces that he had made their day. Keith's guitar playing was fantastic. You could see the effort he put in through the expression on his face. It was unreal! We couldn't see much of Mickey but he certainly made himself heard. These are the" Awesome Threesome". This may have been their last performance of the Austrailian tour but it was like they didn't want it to end and likewise i'm sure of everybody there, it was so emotional. It will probably be weeks maybe months for us to come down. This was our third concert but certainly never our last! ! The feeling is sensational!!!
