Review by Andreas
Kristensen:
The TV-news report on the national TV-2 channel brought footage
of BA arriving at the "Cancer benefit walkshow w/ "Munthe
+ Simonsen" designers" catwalk show at the Bella center.
BA was answering questions from the press about his involvment,
and got a kiss by the two hot female designer called "Munthe
+ Simonsen" that arranged with benefit- model catwalk show
for cancer /w Adams' ex, Cecilie Thomsen in attendance. Cool piece!
Anyway to the gig: Sold out as always, it was a
medium gig and "only" 21 songs compared to the standard
23-25 songs at that time.. I don't know why, but the sound-set up
wasen't that good and the support band was awful... Highlight were
"Thought I'd Died" which sounded OK with only trio-performance...
It was really weird, cos "Back to You" was played (like
the rest of the gigs around this time) without bass --- so BA kept
on playing acoustic guitar all through... That, and many other songs;
(Don't shoot me!) was beginning to sound a bit old to my taste,
and I realized HOW MUCH I missed the full-band w/ BA on guitar!!
U know, I was inspired not only by Adams' music,
but also his unique guitar-playing style; to pick up the guitar
back in 1999 - - so I longed to see my guitar hero w/ a full band,
playing that one-and-only rock guitar; A USA made Fender Stratocaster
electric guitar!! A good night, but that's it.
