21/07/04 - COLISEUM, MONCTON, NB

Review by Marie Stevens:
'Gonna have a blast!" would be an understatement. Shows were awesome to say the least and a long time coming. Seeing the stage, lights, and screens would lead one to believe why Bryan didn't do a show in my hometown province of Prince Edward Island to complete the Atlantic coast. But it was nice to see Newfoundland get into the act as they haven't seen him in ages. Before the show even started, House of Blues had a promo outside where if you could answer BA trivia, you had a chance of winning prizes. I answered correctly - even submitted a question - but to no avail. Inside the Coliseum, things really heated up and I mean HEATED up!!! It was so muggy and humid that I'm sure the guys lost weight performing. Colin James was a great opening act and Monctonians et al were very receptive to him. Gosh, it must be hard to be an opening act when everyone wants the main attraction!! When Bryan came on the stage, few people sat and from the opening number, it was going to be a night to remember! The temperature didn't stop the guys from singing and playing and giving 110%! The fans didn't want the night to end as was evident in the encore presentations. Bryan was impressed with the reception received, as I'm sure he is at all venues. The WYG girl 'bounced' her way on stage, confessing that once she was up there, she knew the words, but couldn't sing!! Dressed in a reddish pink top and jean skirt, she was selected from the audience to Bryan's left, up in the stands, holding a sign saying that she missed the Ottawa show and was glad to be in Moncton. A very energetic gal she was, wowing the audience and getting a few laughs from Norm and Keith!! Being on the floor seven rows back, I managed to get quite a few pics with the digital and managed to get Keith's attention - finally - to wish him Happy Birthday. I signed by putting up 'five' on one hand and making a '0', to which he smiled, pointed, and waved. One fan beside me, after witnessing what went down, asked me if I was their mother... and if I knew those guys!!! Their mother... why, BA and I are the same age!! I had quite a chuckle. After the show was over and as we were waiting patiently to leave the parking lot, people commented on my license plate and wondered if I had it made especially for that night's concert, and loved it, ( my plate reads 'BRYADAM' ) and has for quite a number of years. I tried to no avail to try to not only meet Bryan, but to have him pose beside it. Oh well, I haven't lost hope yet.
