24/07/04 - PROMO: NBC TODAY
SHOW, MANHATTAN, NYC Review

Well Carla ,I and pack of kiddies head off about 1:30 am
from Galesberry CT to NYC we arrived earlier then planned in case we got lost
etc we had ample time to recover.. we get there park car 2 blocks from the today
show and walk over to see Alicja and crew already there.. and then we met Madcat
and her hubby. we made all the introductions etc etc.. did the coffee BAgel thing
(yumm)Idle chit chat for some time and then we can see the lads arriving, Keith
first, Gary, Mickey Norm.. but no Bryan.. wonder where he is?? Anyway not much
longer after that the crew were finishing setting up and began a bit of their
soundcheck... then came the guys and still no BA.. I took my son Donovan over
to the stage and took some phots of the guys doing soundcheck.. Keith spots me
and I tell him this is my son.. (mouthed that to him) we get a thumbs up and big
smile. we wait for a while and I get some shots of mickey etc... then we decided
to leave them be and I turn around and 3 ppl are already in ... Carla and I were
on the guest list but we figured we wouldn't use it as we were up front and wouldn't
have a hard time gaining a good spot so no need to do anything..but when we spotted
Marylin, Eleaine And Kim in there already Carla went to speak to the today show
ppl and inform them of our status.. so they come and get us to bring us to where
Marylin and others were and suddenly the entire que followed us.. so there were
like 60 ppl let in because of carla.. HOW NICE OF HER EH?? :)))anyway they guys
were still rehearsing and wot not and we got a huge smile and wink/kiss from munkee
boy, and a wave from mickey and a UT OH from norm ( SORRY NORM LOL )we watched
them fiddle and faddle and then TADDA here is Bryan, he had finally arrived..
apparently they had difficulties with their flight to NYC from NB and no one had
any sleep so they all looked as bad as they prob felt.. sorry not being mean the
guys looked sooooo shattered.. so we get a glimpse across front row from Bryan
and a smile and said "no don't it's too early" to our cheers poor guy
, we all felt horrible for them at this point with all their troubles and no sleep.Bryan
did his rehearsing bits and went off stage, mickey , norm and Gary followed..
Keith finished up with a few things and came down to Where My son Donovan and
I were, greeting me with big hugs and thanks yous for his bday wishes etc , I
introduce Keith to my son Donovan and vice versa, my son in all his glory and
his 14 yr old MAN voice Hi Keith nice to meet ya, as they shook hands.. I was
grinnin ear to ear was such a cool site for me to see. we have our photo taken
with keith, and off he goes.

for the guys to appear on stage and all the while the cameras scanning us many
times and seeing our banners and wot not we were getting pumped and all excited
etc etc, as u do for any gig .they sang run 2 u 2 times, apparently one didnt
get taped, WYG with Kim AGAIN for the 2nd time in 4 months. and 18 til i die wich
apparently never got aired. the show was fabulous considering the gusy were so
tired.
had a bit of interaction with BA and keith thru out this.. bryan smiling
and just happy to see us fans I suppose, after wyg he deliberatly ( I SWEAR) began
to fiddle on his geetar by strumming a few chords .. ok way more then a few chords
to Blues Jam.. looking at me with THAT CHEEKY ASS GRIN like SYKE or here is yer
BLUES JAM or whatever he was thinkin but was soooo funny , luv when he plays like
that makes it so much fun ya know? anyways he just laughed.. Keith was playin
FOR US u can tell... was brill.. many smiles and winks :)) THANKS BRYAN AND KITH
for making it so much fun...
I was wearing my white halter top so I had easy
access to my BAD tat .. during NON performance time for bryan he was stood there
looking around I grabbed his attn and turned around to show him my tat.. to which
he says "is that for me" my son is shaking his head YESSSSS SHES CRAZY..
kids what do they know HMPH.. then I see keith is telling norm about my geetar
tat I see him showing him the size of it then going across his back explains to
norm about it, he then tells me to turn around and show norm.. so I did *WEG*
I behaved HONEST!! *WEG* they all laughed .. but I got Thumbs up from all..
so
again I THANK YOU GUYS for making it so much fun in such a short period of time..
this is why USA Luvs ya so much :))
