A
rather tragic story this one but I'll tell it anyway! Well, after the Hershey
gig I drove all night and morning to pick Andrea up from camp (she worked as a
counsellor there for 2 months) in Connecticut. We left camp later than planned
because she had to get ready and we just didn't have enough time to get back to
Pittsburgh despite me driving at craaaazzzzzy speeds for 12 hours solid. The gig
had finished by the time we got there and Bryan even played a Kink's song in the
setlist ('You Really Got Me') which we were gutted we had missed! We did manage
to meet and have a chat with Bryan and Keith after the show though so all was
not quite lost. Bryan was amazed we had driven so far and seemed gutted for us
lol but said better luck next time etc. Even he couldn't console us! Also
a big thankyou to Kate for giving us her posh swanky hotel for the night free
of charge (see below!...checkout Andrea's 'BAD' jeans hehe)... was a big help
Kate very much appreciated!
