10/05/06 - HILTON THEATRE, LAS VEGAS, NV

Arrived in Vegas around Midnight Tuesday evening, and what a spectacular view seeing all the lights as u are coming in, I could only look VERY breifly before i got all light headed and feeling of passing out lol. The excitement that had been building up for all of this since january was at it's peek as we head to our hotel , this is hubby's first time in vegas and he doesn't know where to look first, we have a patio from our room and sit out there and enjoy the warmth of the desert, coming from the cool temps of chicago this is a welcome change !! Tried to sleep, and what sleep we did manage we were woke up from hotel clerk calling us at 6 am to tell us that someone complained our TV was on all night, which it wasn't they had the wrong room ARGGGGGGH so then we can't sleep anymore and decide to get up and have some much needed coffee and head towards the hilton, where we met up with Nancy.

Arriving at the hotel we are in awe at all the BA promo platsered everywhere, it was really cool to see. as we walks towards the check in desk there is nancy , perfect timing :) So we check in early , which surprised us that they allowed us to do so, but we aren't complaining,

So now off to our room this time and we get sorted and head down to the casino check things out and then decided to head out on the strip, so off we go from one end to the other and back, whewwwwwwwwww what a long walk that was, we get back and are completey sun burned none of us remembered sunblock :( ah well what are ya gfonna do right? so we start back to our room and i see someone i know so we stop to chat to them breifly and all of a sudden out pops a MUNKEE, he sneeked up on us the lil shit lol so we chatted to Keith for a bit and Introduced him to Hubby etc , Keith had just come out of the pool and needed to go so was a breif chat but a nice one, he is so sweet to have stopped.We all go back to our room and get ready for the gig, the excitement is getting to us , we just want it to be gig time LOL. thru the course of the day i was getting texts from chris a, and laena and everyone to see when we will meet up, I was getting more excited to see everyone as well. So after getting ready a tad too early we go down to casino to play some slots , we stayed with the penny slots LOL and all of a sudden angelina comes over to me WITH Keith AND RICK, His old tech, to surprise me, it was GREAT, keith handed me a quarter said he felt sorry for me LOL cheeky munkee :P Rick was so cool to see, he looks good and it was such a treat to see him again after all these years. keith shows him my tatoo and rick is like " does that say Keith Scott" and keith proudly tells him its his grestch etc it was VERY cool to chat again to Keith and also to Rick!!! Time for them to go and back to a teeny bit of gambling before we meet up with our friends, Darren, Sarah, Bev, Nicki, Twilla, and FINALLY met Laena and Darci, met up with Ang and her Hubby, Anna and her friend Rose, Alicja, Teresa, Margeret, Chris and his sister Wendy, Leigh, Yvette,Debbie, Michael, and I am sure there are more that i have forgotten and I am soooooo sorry lol we all (patiently) wait for the venue to let us in , no stress or anything it all went rather smooth actually no rush no bag checks nothing it was GREAT!!!!!! we all find our seats and chit chat b4 the show, security informing us we can stand AT our seats but not in the isle and not at the stage HMPH the stage was maybe 2 feet high IF that so we were rather close to begin with.

FINALLY its gig time and the guys come running out with SFSG and I have to say this song is WAY better Live it TOTALLY ROCKED !!! they went right into Somebody and continued on with This Time , which REALLY rocked and got alot of us going, not as many as I had hoped but it still rocked us :) bryan stopped after this song to talk about his latest album Room Service and how al the songs were recorded in hotel rooms etc and this next song was from that album and he went into Open Road and it seemed like a lot more people sang along to that song then I had thought would have it was GREAT!!

Up next was 18 til I Die and that got everyone going and shouting 18 TIL I DIE!!!!!!!!!! it was brilliant, they really rocked out.the guys messign about on stage was too funny, bryan pushing keith away from the mic tellin him it was his mic was too funny. Can't Stop was next and again this song got everyone screaming and singing along and rocking out, always a good song!! bryan then says to everyone that this next song was off his unplugged album , Back to You he starts singing, and we all start bouncing around and singing along and doing the back to you dance that gary always gets a kick out of watching us do LOL he was watching us and laffing it was great fun, bryan tries to get the place going but there is only like a handful of us doing the BOUNCE ah well we did TRY LOL.

Next bryan chats again explaing that he is always asked how old he was in 1969 and how he had to explain its not about the YEAR :) and he rocked into summer of 69 with his gretsch ( LOVING IT) the crowd sang along but not as loud as bryan would have like I think, as he usually lets the corwd sing the first few lines, he actually sang with us , but the song totally rocked and everyone new the words of course :) Bryan gets chatty again talking about how he worte this next song after lunch, Everything I do.... got alot of cell phones and lighters going on and crowd singing, and all of us swaying and singing along . They go right into cuts and everyone by this time was standing up and singing along especially the na na na's it was a pretty good effort, not great but good :)

Next up its WYG time and bryan takes his time picking a girl, he finally picks maxine from london UK, she was actually quite good , she knew all the words and had a GREAt time up there with Bryan, I think bryan was a bit bewildered by her myself , heck she was gorgeous he had every right to be LOL next was She's only Happy and we went NUTS cos we weren;t sure he was going to keep it in the set or not and I am SOOOOOOOOO glad he did, it being one of my fave songs i was a dancing FOOL lolit was GREAT, bryan came down to the floor with his mic right in front of cuki and was dancing with her it was brilliant and then he had keith come down there too and they all danced and then Keith gets into the 2nd or 3rd row on the seats and was dancing like crazy I was soooooooooo loving it , it was just BRILLIANT, lucky ppl over there I tell ya LOL what a GREAt song it is :) next is Heaven , which the crowd seemed to really like and sing along too, it is a beautiful song .

Then comes ITS ONLY LOVE and they SOOOOOOOOO rocked out to this as usual , Keith didnt get in his massive solo he usually does but it was still good what he managed to fit in :) bryan had explained before he started this song about Tina turner but that she wasn't there but we had Keith Scott :)) bryan then goes into Cloud #9 and we are all singing along doing the arm swaying it was GREAT, bryan introduces the band and off they go, bryan & co come back and finish the night with Run To You and keith dancing and runing all over stage lol GREAt song and it was right b4 this song that everyone had gotten up and went to stage and security just let us stand there for this song , the night ended way too soon, no acoustic songs and no encores , was really starnge but there was a curfew apparently :( the rest of the band had walked off stage and bryan walked along all of first row shakign everyones hands he could reach it was brilliant, when he had got down to me he grabs my hand and said ' HIII HOW ARE YA" so i was plsd with that :))) as awlays we are gutted when the show ends, but there are loads of baddies we want to have a drink with and visit for a bit with so we go to the bar and have a few drinks and then go back to the venue entrance to wait for a bit to see if any of the guys come out, finally keith comes out and we chat to him and rick again for a bit and have photos taken etc . Time for them to go and we all say our goodbyes and see yas tomorrow and we call it a night and head back to our room for some much needed SLEEP !!!

OK, first of all we got into Vegas on Sunday and one for the first things I saw was a HUGE billboard advertising the show. I talked out driver into stopping and letting me take a picture, my husband was ready to crawl on the floor in embarrassment, but I got my picture! Before we knew it, Wednesday was here and it was time to meet up with all these baddies that I had been talking on the board with all these months....As we made our way through the casino, I saw Karen, (she was kinda hard to miss with the big 69 on her shirt!) I walked up to her and asked if she was Karen, she said 'Yeh, Why?' I then told her I was Laena....It was very exciting to meet her and Nancy , Chris and Wendy...and others, I am so sorry I am horrible with names! So, before we knew it, the doors opened and it was time to go into the hall! Security was cool in the fact that they didn't check bags or anything, the one security guard that was on our side who was a little stiff, but in fairness to her, she was just doing her job, she said we could only stand at our seats, we could not stand by the stage, but slowly as the night went on I crept closer to the stage. So, the stage was quite plain, no banners, etc. just the place for 5 guys to play some good old Rock 'n Roll, and believe me I was hoping that they would not disappoint me! They opened with SFSG, and I was on my feet for the remainder of the concert! People were actually trying to sit down in between songs, Bryan kept on telling them to stand up! His mum was in the audience and he had her stand, then told us to not get any funny ideas and ask for baby pictures, etc, she didn't have any! Then he proclaimed..."I LUV my MUMMMMMY!!!!" Very nice to see him honor his mum this way! The set list has already been posted so I will not repeat it, the crowd was quite quiet, not a lot of energy, but I tried to scream and dance as much as I could, Gary smiled at me a few times, well given that I was one of the few ALWAYS on her feet, I must have stood out a bit! During 'She's only happy when she's dancing' Bryan and Keith went into the audience, Keith actually went about three rows back and gave some fans a thrill I'm sure....Keith came buy me shortly after and let me strum his geetar...I was quite proud! The WYGG was AMAZING and beautiful, no wonder Bryan picked her, she knew the words and was probably the best I had seen thus far! Before we knew it, the show was over and we took our place outside the entrance hoping that we would get to see some of the band. I missed Gary going by, (I was juggling a drink and talking to Steve!) had a lot going on, Karen told me to stop drinking and watch the damn door! So once I regrouped my eyes were peeled to the door, I did not have to wait long and Keith came out! He let us take a couple of pictures with him and signed an autograph for me, I was really excited, he seems to be a very nice, down-to-earth guy! So after that, we decided to go back to our respective rooms and try to get some shut eye..HAH, fat chance of that for me, meeting Keith and talking to Steven in the same night, so the drive home consisted of me looking at my newly acquired pictures, and smiling at the memories!
