Review
by Ana: The day started at 7:00am in Alcázar de San Juan. Of all the
friends who went to the Alcázar gig, only me and two other girls went to
Benidorm (where we meet more baddied from our forum). We took a train to Albacete
and then a bus to Benidorm, quite a ling trip. We arrived to the venue at 2:50pm
and took our numbers. The venue had been changed from the "Estadio"
to the "Plaza de Toros" (Bullring).
Press
said that it was changed because Bryan wanted to be nearer to his crowd but i
guess it was because not many tickets were sold. The bullring was really really
small, so tiny that the merchandising store had to be on the street outside the
venue! So we got our numbers and managed to find a good place to queue. The weather
was hot and really wet. I think it ws around 7pm when everybody stood up and queue
in front of the doors. At the same time, the rest of "my group" came.
I met some people who had been in Alcázar too, so we were talking a lot.
That's one of the best things about gigging.
So
there we were, waiting under a hot weather and trying that the people who came
at that moment, didn't jump the queue. At last, around 8:15pm, doors were opened
and again, as happened in Alcázar, the security staff told us not to run
and to my surprise, the stage wasn't in front of the doors, but on the left side,
so there was no need to run. I managed to get first row again!, but this time,
on the left side. I was looking at the aisle/corridor where Bryan could be walking
during "TBOM" and right in my place there was a kind of suitcase made
of steel (those kind of case in which the suff for the stage is kept), so i though
Bryan wasn't going to come there. At 9:15pm, the support act played. They
were called "Sra. Robinson" (Mrs. Robinson) and they were from Benidorm.
A good rock band. I looked behind and i saw that the stands were almost filled
but not the ground.
As
i said, it was extremely wet, not so hot however, but a guy of the security staff
was so gentle to give us some bottles of cold water. The venue was already full
(or almost) when Bryan and the band appeared at 10:30pm. The crowd wasn't so appassionate
as in Alcázar the night before, but it was good enough. Bryan greet us
and said: "Hola Valencia". Valencia? It's Benidorm, Bryan. And Benidorm
is inside the province of Alicante... ok, ok.. and Alicante is part od the "Comunidad
de Valencia", but anyway, it wasn't correct. So the person who says to Bryan
where he is, was quite wrong.
Everything
was almost the same as the night before. The "WYG" girl was funny. She
didn't understand a word in english so Bryan finally, just asked her name (Vega)
and that was all. She did it well, going forward and backward. At the end, Bryan
tried to lift her up but he couldn't!! Not because the girl was fat, which was
not the case, but i think Bryan has lost some of his strenght as long as his weight.
lol. Then the "TBOM" moment came and Bryan went down of the stage. And
oh my god, Bryan came and went up the case which was right in my place! He was
a few centimetres in front of me!! I just couldn't believe it. So afer a moment
of doubt, i started to touch him. I was over-excited. After, i think it was after..
my memory after touching Bryan is blurred, they played "SOHWSD" and
i saw the great and awesome Keith doing his dance - you can see the video-.
Bryan
did his acoustic set playing "Heaven", "Straight from the heart"
and "Crazy". I remember that during one of the Keith's solo's, he was
in front of me and because of the wet weather, you could only see "water"
(sweat) instead of his face. It was like someone was pouring water over him. So
this night was great too, not so so so great as the night before (at least, in
my opinion) but i touched Bryan! Haha! This time, we tried to catch Bryan when
they wgo out in the cars, but they didn't stop. A pity but i was very happy.
I
spent two great days with my baddie friends, who are as crazy as me, and the gigs
were a-ma-zing and they're worth the kilometres i had to travel.
Can't
wait to see you again, Bryan!
