20/09/06 - BALLERUP SUPER ARENA, COPENHAGEN

Somebody requests 'She's Only Happy' during the acoustic set... Bryan doesn't bring the band back on but instead opts to play it acoustically. A first for that song... and lets hope it's a last too.

Review by wblake:
We (a party of four) got there half an hour before the doors opened. There was only as small and not at all organized queue - so we ended up first and second row, on Keith's side. The supporting act, Steep the Sin, weren't that good imo but a couple of their songs rocked a bit, at least.

BA opened with Room Service, and as far as I can tell they'd rearranged it with more of a classical rock beat, sounded great!

During I Think About You, BA sang 'I think about you, and your guitar, too' as an introduction to Keith's solo, which was followed by an organ solo by Gary. Always nice to hear solos by Gary-or-Norm. Speaking of Norm, I saw an acutal smile on his face during WYG ;-)

BA kept making references to being in Denmark - talked about his first Copenhagen gig, changed some of the 'you' to 'du' at the end of The Only Thing and complained 'who let the Danes out' when the na-na-nas after Cuts never ended.

The biggest treat to my daughter was that The Best of Me was back in the setlist (he did't play that at the English shows we were at this summer). He made one of his stops right in front of us, I got to pat his back. I considered pinching his bony little ass but was afraid that might scare him off - and I'm glad I didn't 'cause the next thing BA did was grab my daughter (cats' ears and all) and kiss her cheek.

All in all, a very good concert, and with a better audience than when I last saw BA in Scandinavia two years ago.
