06/01/07 - HORSESHOE CASINO, TUNICA, MS

Bryan kicks off the 2nd show of the tour in Tunica and plays for 1hr 15 mins. He played Mississippi nearly 3 years ago to the day and checkout the awesome setlist he did that day back in 2004 (which was at yesterdays venue in Biloxi) which was almost twice as long... go>. Apparently Keith was on fire for the show though and Memphis guitar legend Scott Sudbury's wife was the WYGG!... way to go Jamie!

Review by Trish:
Bryan and the guys sounded great, but the crowd was not the best I’ve ever been a part of at a show. Most of the people who weren’t in the standing room only area sat down for pretty much the entire show! Some women a few rows back informed us that we were rude for standing, so we sat down after about 3 songs. And it felt really weird and unnatural. They had 2 mid-size video screens which was good because it was hard to see being seated right behind the standing area. This show wasn’t as enjoyable for me as the Beau Rivage show the night before, where the crowd was much more lively and not glued to their seats the ENTIRE time and no one there minded if you jumped around.

But I was still happy I went to Tunica because we got to hear “She’s Only Happy When She’s Dancing.” But just try to dance in the seated position! It was just so frustrating to feel like you had to remain seated throughout the show to avoid upsetting someone. I just couldn’t believe it when the people just sat there like lumps when Bryan broke into Summer of ’69. How pathetic! They could have just stayed home and sat on their asses and listened to a cd. At the Beau Rivage the night before everybody jumped up and screamed for that song. On a humorous note: when I was walking into the show a lady told me that Pamela Anderson would be singing with Bryan tonight on “When You Were Here”. I just politely said, “Really? That’s incredible! I can’t wait to see that!” Alas we were not to be subjected to a performance by the buxom blonde. Although it’s quite titilating to imagine what the reaction of the crowd to that might have been. I for one would have fallen right off of my chair!
